SuLanLing Foundation
The purpose of the SuLanLing Foundation is to reduce the prevalence of environmental illness and improve the lives of those with environmental illness. Environmental illness, environmental justice, and environmental health are intersectional and related issues that disproportionately affect communities of color.
Environmental illness includes, but is not limited to, sickness caused by an exposure to a substance, chemical, pollutant or toxin in one's environment. Chemicals, electromagnetic waves, asbestos, lead and PFAS are some examples of these kinds of materials.
The Foundation grants to nonprofits whose missions include the following:
reducing toxins in building products, furnishings, personal care, cleaning, textiles, and food products, including building strategic lawsuits against businesses and organizations.
raising public and government awareness of environmental illness and related problems.
safe housing for individuals with environmental illness.
Susan Lee, Esq, died after a decade of sickness brought on by chemical exposure. The Foundation serves in her memory.
The Foundation accepts proposals by invitation only at this time and is a spend down foundation.
In 2023, grants were awarded to Black Women for Wellness, Healthy Building Network, California Healthy Nail Salon Collaborative, Women's Voices for the Earth, and Multicultural Alliance for a Safe Environment.
